Responsibilities
Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data
Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities
May write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities
May specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application
Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability
Qualification
Required
5-7 years of experience
A BS degree in an Engineering curriculum that included dynamics labs in NVH - Noise, Vibration, Harshness (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.)
Initiative
Good communication skills
Interpreting frequency data
Good understanding of mechanical and audio systems
Knowledge with instrumentation like microphones, accelerometers and how to apply them
Experience processing/interpreting high frequency data
High initiative, good communication, strong teamwork
Ability to perform physical work (climb machines, turn wrenches, etc.)
Preferred
Experience with troubleshooting and fixing mechanical systems
Experience with audio concepts like intelligibility metrics, etc
Work or hobby experience with hand tools and carpentry, car audio installation, etc
Simulation experience
