Responsibilities
Owns overall quality and validity of all division vetted Risks/Issues/Opportunities
Performs independent assessment of all aspects of technical, cost, and schedule impacts of risks, issues, and opportunities
Works collaboratively with risk owners and associated CAMs to meet risk mitigation and opportunity development commitments
Provides horizontal and vertical integration of the RIO SOW for each of the operating units, IPTs, and functional areas
Monitor and report on the performance of all RIO efforts to leadership
Accountable for ensuring that defined risk management processes are followed throughout all levels of the organization
Executes a proactive risk identification process to understand and evaluate new affordability opportunities and developments
Ensure adherence/compliance of program RIO process against corporate and sector procedures
Verify and support all aspects of corporate, sector and DCMA audits on the risk, issues, and opportunities process
Maintains and responsible for the Risks, Issues, and Opportunity management plan
Troubleshoot and administrative management of the program-selected RIO toolset
Develop and deliver Enterprise Risks, Issues, and Opportunity training as required
Act as primary contact for all RIO activities, including leadership reviews and customer reviews
Leading the development of tools and processes to monitor, track and report the health and performance of the division risk to program leadership
Represent leadership at enterprise boards to drive necessary tool updates and improvements in usability
Lead program wide monthly review boards for Risks, Issues and Opportunity
Be the thought leader and provide guidance / advises for all RIO related activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of related experience as defined below, OR a Master's degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of related experience as defined below
Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions
Experience with risk, issue, and opportunity development and management
Experience working with Program Management principles: managing projects, scheduling, budget management, etc
Experience in developing RIO metrics and briefings
Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry
The ability to travel domestically 10% of the time
This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret Clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company
Preferred
Current TS/SCI and active Special Access Program (SAP) clearances
Demonstrated ability to develop and influence project team relationships
Familiar with the requirements set forth, but not limited to those in, the DoDI 5000.XX series, the DoD Risk Management Guide, and Northrop Grumman PrOP (e.g. CO F601 and D0-5400)
Direct Program Management experience
Experience of familiarity with aircraft production, supply chain, engineering, software development, and product support
Experience with RIO toolsets; Atlassian toolsets; and digital ecosystems
