Responsibilities
The contractors will be part of the "on call" rotation. 2 people each week will be "on call", which equates to about 1 week every 2 months
Contractors will receive $6/hr. premium from normal rate during week they are "on call"
The position will likely require some travel initially between sites (mileage will be reimbursed for any travel after initial reporting)
The Network Field Engineer provides support for LANs, WAN connections, and application performance troubleshooting
This individual is responsible for delivery of new functionality, day-to-day operations, and participating in break/fix activities
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree or one to two (1-2) years of vocational technical training preferred
Minimum of 2-4 years of In-depth troubleshooting and understanding of practical networking systems such as LAN, firewalls, routers, PC's and Printers
Minimum of 1-5 Years of Study towards a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification
Command Line Interface (CLI) experience
Comprehensive understanding of network services and networks such as TCP/IP, OSPF and EIGRP
Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently
Can, without assistance, plan, implement, and/or engineer network solutions based upon Cisco equipment with intermediate to advanced complexity
Able to create comprehensive documentation using Visio and related tools
Demonstrates comprehensive working knowledge of a technical or specialty area, and of operations, methods, and practices
No direct supervisory or leadership experience required. In-team mentoring experience
Preferred
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations preferred
Network engineering: 5 years (Preferred)
Command Line Interface: 3 years (Preferred)
MPLS: 3 years (Preferred)
BGP: 2 years (Preferred)
Layer 2 and Layer 3 Network: 1 year (Preferred)
CCNA (Preferred)
