This position is responsible for supporting the migration from a legacy Citrix environment to Azure Virtual Desktop, ensuring a stable and high-performing virtual desktop ecosystem while enhancing cloud security and scalability.

Responsibilities
Deploy, configure, and manage AVD host pools, session hosts, and scaling plans
Administer and optimize FSLogix profiles and master images
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot AVD issues in real time
Automate routine administration using PowerShell and Infrastructure-as-Code tools
Implement security controls and maintain compliance with organizational standards
Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support for AVD incidents and maintain documentation
Collaborate with Service Operations, IT Operations, and support teams on issue resolution
Analyze system data related to performance, patching, and utilization
Maintain software availability for internal support teams and end users
Recommend improvements to reduce recurring incidents and downtime
Qualification
Required
3+ years of hands-on Azure Virtual Desktop administration
Strong working knowledge of Azure networking, identity, and security
Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation experience
Proven experience with FSLogix, image management, and performance tuning
Familiarity with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
Preferred
Experience with Microsoft Intune for device compliance and app deployment
Experience in hybrid environments integrating AVD with endpoint management tools
