Responsibilities

Support the Platform Distribution Strategy team in negotiations with clients such as cable, digital MVPDs, digital platforms, transactional, and FAST
Collaborate with senior members of the Business Affairs team to implement standard terms and deal structures that can be applied across accounts
Maintain various contractual analyses and summaries across accounts and services
Assist senior members of Business Affairs to provide timely and thoughtful contractual advice on potential risks and challenges, and propose practical, responsive solutions
Collaborate with internal stakeholders in Sales, Operations and Legal
Manage and present assigned projects (e.g., contractual analysis, industry risks and opportunities)

Required

Related work, internship and/or educational experience within legal, business affairs, strategy or a related media field
Interest in content distribution landscape, competitors, and current trends in the industry
Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook
Excellent analytical and communication skills, a strategic mindset and a collaborative spirit
Attention to detail and an aptitude for navigating and analyzing contracts and other legal documents to determine contractual ramifications of deal points
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Must have full-time availability for the duration of the internship: June 2026-August 2026
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
This internship is an in-person position Monday through Thursday and a remote position requiring a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace on Fridays
Fully available from Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm EST for the duration of the internship, approximately 40 hours each week
Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York, NY OR Bristol, CT area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

Preferred

Previous experience (academic or internship) or an interest in media, content distribution, or legal
Previous contract reading experience
Juniors or Seniors preferred
Major or previous coursework in Business, Legal Studies, or related major preferred
