Responsibilities
Provide technical support for programming National Instruments data collection devices using LabVIEW and LabVIEW RT
Provide technical support for developing real-time data processing and analysis, and data display programs
Provide technical support for developing programs for data storage, data transfer and data query
Provide technical support to develop, evaluate, test, improve, and maintain instrumentation software as directed by the manager
Develop Instrumentation software documentation including software technical documentation and User's Guides
Undertake special projects as required
Qualification
Required
Must possess and maintain a current National Instruments, Inc. Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA) or Certified LabView Developer (CLD) certification for managing software engineering in LabVIEW and advanced architecture for LabVIEW
Must be proficient with communicating with test equipment and sensors using data communication protocols, including TCP/IP, Network Streams, Serial, HTTP and WebDAV
Experience using code repository tools such as GitHub
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
High attention to detail and accuracy
Capable of working independently and collaboratively
Demonstrates initiative and problem-solving with minimal supervision
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Skilled in reviewing and documenting existing code with limited or no prior documentation
Flexible and adaptable to multiple tasks and shifting priorities
Ability to interact with diverse individuals in a courteous and professional manner
10 years of relevant experience
Relevant experience must be in LabView programming in real-time data collection systems
Position requires BS/BA degree in Computer Science or a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 10 years of experience OR a MS/MA degree in STEM discipline with 8 years of experience
