Co-op - Engineering (Summer 2026)

They are seeking a Co-op Engineering intern to perform mechanical system analysis, conduct failure analysis, consult with customers, and develop methodologies for categorizing reports.

Responsibilities
Perform mechanical system analysis for shaft, gear and bearing arrangements using BearinX, Schaeffler’s proprietary analysis software
Conduct failure analysis investigation through close inspection of returned parts and prepare analysis reports to present findings and recommendations to customers
Consult with customers to understand needs and requirements of their application and recommend bearing solutions to meet their desired life targets
Facilitate prototype and sample production via order entry and discussion with production plants
Develop a methodology or database to allow for categorization of existing and new RGA (returned goods analysis) reports such that commonalities can be quickly referenced and cross-examined
Qualification
Required
High school diploma and currently pursuing a four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant field
Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher per semester
External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship
