Senior Roadway Project Engineer
Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Senior Roadway Project Engineer to spearhead a massive infrastructure initiative in Chandler, AZ. This role is designed for a Licensed PE who thrives on technical rigor, mentorship, and the management of high-profile infrastructure assets.

Responsibilities
Advanced Design Leadership: Lead the engineering design for roadway and transportation projects, including the creation of complex drawings, technical reports, and regulatory documentation
Large-Scale Project Execution: Manage technical deliverables for a 12-mile, $180M infrastructure project, ensuring all 5 interchanges meet safety and resilience standards
Project Management Support: Develop project scopes, budgets, and design approaches; supervise resources and schedules in close coordination with Project Managers
Client Advocacy: Act as the primary technical representative in client meetings, fostering strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders
Quality Assurance: Provide high-level technical oversight and mentorship to junior staff, ensuring all deliverables meet the firm's standards for excellence
Business Development: Support growth initiatives through technical proposal preparation and participation in high-stakes client interviews
Complex Problem Solving: Apply advanced engineering principles to mitigate utility impacts and solve design bottlenecks in rail transit and roadway segments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Arizona is REQUIRED (or the ability to obtain reciprocity immediately)
Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in roadway and transportation engineering
Demonstrated experience with large-scale roadway design or rail transit mitigation
Advanced command of AutoCAD Civil 3D or equivalent modeling software
Proven ability to work independently on multi-million dollar projects while leading and mentoring design teams
Exceptional presentation and verbal skills for high-level client-facing interactions
Ability to manage budgets and schedules without sacrificing technical precision
Preferred
Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
