Responsibilities

Operate and maintain a range of finishing equipment, including grinders, sanders, deburring machines, and polishing tools
Inspect parts for defects, burrs, and imperfections, and apply appropriate finishing techniques to achieve specified surface finishes
Measure and verify part dimensions against blueprints and specifications using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Perform masking, cleaning, and preparation of parts for subsequent processes such as painting, plating, or anodizing
Document finished product specifications, production data, and quality control checks accurately
Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or process issues to supervisory staff
Collaborate with production and quality control teams to address finishing challenges and optimize processes

Required

1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably with hands-on finishing experience
Proficiency in using various hand and power tools common to finishing processes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
Self motivated individual accomplishing personal and company goals, while maintaining safety
Basic computer skills
Systematically organized and prepared

Preferred

Familiarity with quality control procedures and basic inspection techniques is a plus
Skills in Microsoft software is a plus
