Tooling Technician C

Responsibilities
Performs assembly operations necessary to construct, maintain, and repair tool and tool components
Work from drawings and specifications to fabricate tools and tool components
Uses a wide variety of fabrication processes for completion or modification of tools and tooling details
Operate a variety of hand tools and manual machines including but not limited to milling machines and lathes
Operates automated control pattern and profile manufacturing machines, including but not limited to, large scale additive manufacturing machines, waterjets, routers, and laser cutters
Uses a variety of measuring instruments including but not limited to, micrometer, dial indicator, transit, level, scale, various calipers and height gauges, protractors, laser tracker, and portable coordinate measuring devices
Performs deburring, blending, and grinding operations as required
Responsible for the quality of own work. Accountable for dimensional accuracy of own work
Performs other related duties as required
Qualification
Required
Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification
Requires the use of advanced shop mathematics, a variety of precision measuring instruments and interprets blueprints
Moderate computer skills required
Must successfully complete all required training courses
Preferred
Fabrication experience and mechanical aptitude preferred
