Program Associate
The George Washington University Law School is the oldest law school in Washington, DC, offering diverse academic opportunities in an inclusive atmosphere. The Program Associate is responsible for programmatic planning and coordination for strategic initiatives, providing administrative support to faculty members and deans, and assisting with various outreach efforts.

Responsibilities
Supports a variety of strategic initiatives within the law school, including but not limited to enhanced bar study and passage support; preparing for and responding to ABA site visit requests
Assists in the implementation of the law school’s strategic plan; and supports outreach and onboarding efforts for the Masters of Studies in Law programs
Provide general day-to-day administrative support to the assigned faculty
Compose documents, manages and organize files
FedEx/ UPS / USPS shipments, schedule meetings, handle calendars, make reservations, edit/proofread, merge data sets, process reimbursement requests, book travel, copy, order, organize, course materials, respond to email or telephone inquiries and requests, and assist with event coordination
Oversee the distribution and collection process of take-home examinations from students, in addition to combining student data related to exams
Prepares spreadsheets and utilizes formulas to calculate raw and weighted final exam scores for faculty
Collaborate with the Records Office to enter students’ grades into the grading system in a timely manner
Collaborate with the Communications Department in marketing and communication for events
Collaborate with the Events Team to coordinate all aspects of event planning
Exercise tact and discretion when handling sensitive information
Help to book, pay for, and manage travel and other purchases, including recording and processing of expenses (P-Card, invoices, etc.)
Provide bar study and passage support
Provide general day-to-day administrative support
Provide calendar management
Coordinate travel arrangements when required
Gather and prepare meeting and event materials
Compose documents, manages and organize files
Assist with the event planning process
Help to book, pay for, and manage travel and other purchases, including recording and processing of expenses (p-card, invoices, etc.)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position
Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may substitute degree requirements
Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and similar operating systems
Ability to be agile, skilled in prioritizing multiple assignments, and the ability to apply project management skills in order to meet deadlines
Ability to coordinate and organize conferences, symposia, meetings, and other special events
Ability to interact with faculty, students, and staff in a team environment
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to a diverse audience
Preferred
Proficiency in social media is preferred
