Responsibilities
Apply Project Engineering skills and customer knowledge to build, implement, document, test, troubleshoot, and deploy program and network solutions
Diagnose and resolve sophisticated technical problems, support network architecture, and maintain various network communication protocols
Aide and assist in sophisticated demonstrations for current and future customers
Interact with a broad spectrum of program managers, hardware/software/project engineers and various internal support organizations on a regular basis
Troubleshoot the most complex data network and hardware problems
Research technological advancements and evaluate sophisticated data networking technologies to understand their potential
Work directly with end customers and program offices
Work with product management and development to understand problems and build practical solutions using creativity, technical knowledge, and past experience
Lead, design and specify system performance from requirements through implementation, test, and deployment
Invent, demonstrate, validate, and adjust solutions by incorporating feedback from within and outside the organization
Balance technical trade-offs to achieve difficult performance goals in demanding environmental conditions
Contribute technical and programmatic content to proposal development in multiple sectors
Maintain and grow a market presence and stay ahead of market trends and challenges in a dynamic environment within a fast-paced industry
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience related to technological work
Over 10 years of working with SATCOM-related technologies
5+ years of experience with Linux-based systems
Advanced proficiency in identifying and fixing the component hardware, software, networking, and communications protocol problems
Generating system requirements and derivation
Experience in responding to proposals
Strong proficiency with network Monitoring protocols and tools such as Wireshark, WinPcap, and Nfdump, as well as with network management protocols such as SNMP, LDAP, and AAA
Up to 50% domestic and international travel
US Citizenship
Former military experience
Active Secret Clearance required
