Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of circuit card assemblies (CCAs) including component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout support
Create and execute test plans, perform simulations, and validate hardware designs to ensure high performance and reliability
Collaborate with mechanical engineers, IP developers, and other stakeholders to integrate CCAs into larger systems
Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues during development and production phases
Analyze and improve circuit card designs for performance, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability. Address and resolve issues identified during testing and production
Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, test results, and revisions to ensure clarity and consistency
Develop plans, schedules, and identify resources required to develop products from market requirement through product release
Provide guidance and support to junior engineers, sharing expertise and best practices in hardware design and development
Take the initiative to research, develop, propose, evaluate and/or implement new methods, processes, techniques, tools, components, or technology that improve quality, timeliness and/or performance of DDC’s products

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
8-15 years of experience in hardware design and development, including hands-on experience with complex projects that include FPGA's and Microcontroller's
Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Cadence Orcad, Cadence Allegro)
Proven experience in designing high speed digital designs (e.g. PCI, PCIe, USB and Ethernet)
Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics, signal integrity, power and thermal management
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a keen eye for detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Preferred

Experience of DO-254 certification process throughout all (SOI) Stages of Involvement phases
Experience with environmental testing standards (e.g., thermal, shock & vibration)
Experience with MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC-429
Knowledge of Multi Chip Module (MCM) designs is a plus
