Senior Engineer - GEnx HPT Module Systems Integration Leader

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the GEnx HPT Module Systems Integration. This role involves overseeing cross-functional engineering teams to ensure that program objectives and customer needs are met, while conducting product integration and managing requirements and specifications.

Responsibilities

Conducts component and product integration. Manages product and systems requirements, specifications and flow down. Drives validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing
Responsible for defining product requirements for the module / component / subcontractors and partners engineering teams. Manages interface between components and execution organizations
Responsible for driving CTQ / Risk trades within the teams designing the components. Manages the overall product configuration and configuration control system. Supports certification plan definition and execution as required
Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility
Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering
Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field
Utilize Flight Deck principals and tools to solve problems and optimize execution of assigned tasks. Fosters an environment of continuous improvement
Support and/or lead root cause investigations of hardware returned from the field or for production hardware delivery issues. Deliver findings with corrective action recommendations for the business and customers

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in the Engineering/Technology field
Minimum 8 years of applicable engineering experience
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))
