Institutional Research Analyst

NEOGOV is seeking an Institutional Research Analyst to support Institutional Research and Institutional Effectiveness within the Division of Academic Affairs. The role involves collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to aid in institutional decision-making and compliance reporting.

Responsibilities

Assist in gathering, cleaning, and organizing data from various sources to support institutional research projects
Perform basic statistical analyses on institutional data to identify trends, patterns, and insights
Assist in preparing reports and visualizations for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and clarity
Support the design, administration, and analysis of surveys to collect data on student success, program outcomes, and institutional effectiveness
Help maintain databases and data management systems to ensure data integrity and accessibility
Assist in documenting data processes, methodologies, and findings to support transparency and reproducibility
Help gather and organize data required for accreditation and compliance reporting, including SACSCOC, IPEDS, and other regulatory bodies
Work closely with the Institutional Research Coordinator, Director of Institutional Effectiveness, and other team members to support departmental goals and initiatives
Follow best practices in data security to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of institutional data
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, Social Sciences, Computer Science, or a related field
Previous experience in data analysis, management, and reporting within a higher education setting or similar environment
Previous experience using statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and communicate complex processes and results to diverse audiences
Excellent written communication, analytical, organizational skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred

Experience in higher education assessment, accreditation, and compliance reporting
Familiarity with learning management systems and customer relationship management tools (e.g., Moodle, Element 451)
Experience with survey tools (e.g., Qualtrics) and survey design
Ability to build collaborative relationships across academic and administrative units
