Responsibilities

Consult individuals seeking information pertaining to their own criminal history records
Perform highly specialized research to ensure that legal requirements are met
Identify, obtain, and analyze relevant criminal records and source documentation to determine whether a challenge is to be substantiated or denied based upon any findings of material inaccuracy or incompleteness
Make presentations to law enforcement and prepare reports and publications for managerial review
Represent DOJ in court and at administrative hearings
Act as lead to assist program management with departmental-wide projects
Provide specialized training regarding departmental services and their work processes

Required

General knowledge of the criminal justice system, its complexities, and its processes
General knowledge of the statutory code sections relevant to criminal history record reviews

Ability to perform highly specialized research to ensure that legal requirements are met
Ability to identify, obtain, and analyze relevant criminal records and source documentation
Ability to determine whether a challenge is to be substantiated or denied based upon any findings of material inaccuracy or incompleteness
Ability to make presentations to law enforcement
