Responsibilities
Perform analysis for power studies
Report to an assigned Project Engineer and act as a Design Engineer for Electrical and I&C projects
Be responsible for working with other engineers and designers to prepare design change packages for modifications at operating nuclear plants and other associated nuclear facilities
Managing tasks and resources related to power-system analysis and report creation
Conduct field walkdowns to determine existing configuration of plant structures, systems, and components
Follow a strict adherence to electrical codes and standards
Qualification
Required
Possess the ability to interpret codes and regulations, and standard practices
Be able to demonstrate adaptability; must be proficient in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues within a nuclear power plant environment
Have effective oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing)
Possess excellent communication skills and ability to interface with customers and internal team members under a matrixed organization
Possess the ability to conduct research, design, and testing of engineering solutions
Possess the technical knowledge to perform power system studies using ETAP, SKM, and PSCAD. Tasks will involve performing load flow, short circuit calculations, and harmonic studies
