Responsibilities
Support mechanical system startups and commissioning activities
Review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, engineering drawings, and specifications
Coordinate with contractors and vendors on equipment testing, delivery, installation, and commissioning
Perform ongoing field inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and codes
Oversee mechanical contractor work for quality, safety, and schedule adherence
Support utility outage planning and weekend/shutdown work coordination
Prepare field progress reports and provide updates to Project Management
Assist with construction administration activities including schedule coordination and weekly meetings
Act as liaison between field construction teams and project leadership
Qualification
Required
5–10+ years of experience in industrial construction projects (manufacturing preferred)
5+ years of experience in mechanical design or mechanical building systems
Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building systems
Strong understanding of construction means and methods
Experience working with building codes and industry standards (IBC, NFPA, ASME, ASHRAE, etc.)
OSHA 30 certification required
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project)
Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to work on-site in a large manufacturing facility environment
