Responsibilities
Lead financial diligence for new franchise and development deals, renewals and transfers, assessing unit profitability, cash flow viability, leverage, and debt service coverage to ensure long-term system health
Support the execution of franchisee network optimization to proactively strengthen unit economics, and mitigating underperforming operator risk
Deliver pre/post-transfer performance insights, tracking stabilization progress, and identifying early warning indicators
Support franchisees exit planning and financial workouts, developing portfolio-level financial evaluations, risk exposure analysis, and transition scenarios that protect both franchisee value and brand integrity
Own 4-wall profitability measurement and benchmarking across the franchise system, establishing clear performance standards by market, operator, and cafe maturity
Analyze performance gaps, translating insights into implications for franchisee payback, capital efficiency, and growth capabilities
Manage the cafe watchlist, proactively identifying financial, operational, and balance-sheet risks and partnering cross-functionally to drive corrective action
Act as the primary finance lead to the franchisee network, supporting network meetings and regional sessions with data-driven insights
Translate complex financial analysis into clear, operator-focused narratives that influence decision-making and drive alignment across the system
Support system-wide education and adoption of best practices in unit economics, capital and resource investments, and return optimization
Contribute to strategic market planning initiatives, helping shape market prioritization, consolidation opportunities, and long-term network optimization
Support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as requested by leadership
Continuously improve reporting, modeling, and data accuracy across corporate and franchise systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or economics
2+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, franchise finance or M&A
Advanced Excel financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis skills
Ability to synthesize large data sets into clear, actionable insights
Strong communication skills with experience presenting to senior leaders
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working through disciplined deadlines
Preferred
Experience in franchised, multi-unit, retail, or QSR is a plus
