Responsibilities
Designs, implements, and maintains assigned advanced databases and database management systems
Install, Configure and Maintain database environments
Set up and configure Epic monitoring tools (Redalert, System Pulse), manage alerts and logs, set up, configure and manage administrative tools
Monitoring of service health, management of service requests, change management
Proactively find issues within the environment and help put processes in place to prevent problems
Monitors the performance, security, integrity and recovery of assigned databases, at an advanced level
Leads project design, contributing expertise in advanced data management methodologies, tools and techniques
Develops, optimizes, and enforces database administration standards, policies and procedures
Manages the scheduling and operation of advanced database projects, database and transaction log backups, notifications, and upgrades/enhancements
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED
5 years of relevant experience
Strong technical problem solver who can resolve issues within EPIC(Cache/Iris) database
Basic understanding of Linux operating systems, shell scripts
Ability to balance work across a diverse set of customers, projects, goals and priorities
Ability to discuss requirements directly with customers and deliver satisfactory solutions as well as support various technical issues/tickets
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action
