Responsibilities
Hands-on ownership of a high-production loan pipeline, overseeing files from submission through funding
Actively process and review loans as needed while managing and supporting the processing team
Lead, mentor, and hold processors accountable to turn-time, quality, and pull-through metrics
Serve as the primary Encompass LOS expert, optimizing workflows, milestones, conditions, and reporting
Monitor pipeline health daily, identifying bottlenecks, fallout risk, and aging loans in real time
Partner with Processors & Loan Officers to ensure complete, accurate, and compliant submissions in a high-volume environment
Coordinate closely with Underwriting to minimize resubmissions and condition churn
Ensure strict adherence to agency, investor, and regulatory requirements (FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, Non-QM, state guidelines)
Develop, document, and continuously improve processing SOPs, checklists, and best practices
Oversee onboarding and ongoing training of processors in systems, guidelines, and performance expectations
Act as escalation point for complex, time-sensitive, or high-risk files
Prepare and present pipeline metrics, production reports, and operational insights to executive leadership
Qualification
Required
5+ years of mortgage processing experience in a high-volume production environment
2+ years in a senior, lead, or pipeline management role
Hands-on experience processing loans, not solely supervisory
Advanced Encompass LOS experience (required)
Proven ability to manage large pipelines with aggressive SLAs and funding timelines
Strong understanding of loan documentation, conditions, and underwriting guidelines
Experience leading teams while personally contributing in peak production periods
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills across Loan Officers, underwriters, and leadership
Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
English proficiency with strong professional written and verbal communication
Preferred
Experience with Non-QM, Jumbo, DSCR, and Bank Statement loan programs
Familiarity with secondary market requirements and post-closing workflows
Experience scaling processing operations during rapid growth
