The Quality Technician will ensure that all products meet quality standards and comply with food safety regulations by monitoring production processes and collaborating with staff.

Food & Beverages

Responsibilities

Conduct internal audits of production line(s), warehouses, and other applicable areas
Perform analytical testing such as water activity including sensory
Perform pre-operational inspections as needed
Inspect packaged product and labels
Perform and monitor line clearance after every lot
Ensure production is following all production guides
Monitor GMP compliance of employees and make corrections when necessary
Communicate all major food safety and quality issues to Quality Managers or above
Verify metal detector calibration
Other duties as needed

Required

High school diploma
At least 1 year working in a manufacturing environment similar to 1440 Foods-Pittsburgh
Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality management systems (HACCP, ISO, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Proficient in using quality measurement tools and software
