Sr. Hardware Engineer
Engineered Staffing Solutions is seeking a Sr. Hardware Engineer to design, develop, and test cutting-edge communication technology. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create innovative solutions that meet industry standards and ensuring high performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
Responsibilities
Design & Development: Circuit card assembly (CCA) design, including component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout
Testing & Validation: Develop test plans, perform simulations, and validate hardware for performance and reliability
Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical engineers, IP developers, and stakeholders to integrate CCAs into broader systems
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve hardware issues during development and production
Optimization: Enhance circuit designs for performance, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability
Documentation: Maintain clear design records and test results
Project Planning: Develop plans and schedules, managing resources from concept to product release
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or master's in electrical or computer engineering
6 or more years in hardware design, including experience with FPGA and microcontroller projects
Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Cadence OrCAD, Cadence Allegro)
High-speed digital design (PCI, PCIe, USB, Thunderbolt), analog and digital electronics, signal integrity, power, and thermal management
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Excellent verbal and written skills in a team environment
Preferred
Experience with DO-254 certification
Familiarity with environmental testing standards (thermal, shock & vibration)
Knowledge of MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC-429
Experience with Multi-Chip Module (MCM) designs is a plus
