Responsibilities
Operate and maintain a continuous process environment while operating all required front and back end functions of the Tenter Frame
Perform preventative minor maintenance
Sew material into a continuous form and mix and apply proper adhesive
Set the width of frame, heat, and line speed
Occasionally calculate add-on weight
Set up slitters for final put up
Label and move finished product to Shipping
Occasionally cross train on jobs requiring similar skills
Perform other related duties as directed
Qualification
Required
Two years of production machine operator experience
Ability to read and interpret written instructions, to accurately complete basic paperwork and to perform data entry
Proficiency in basic math and use of a calculator
Ability to read a ruler and dial gauge and operate small weight scale
Hazardous Communications, Lockout / Tagout and Fork Lift certification or certification obtained within 30 days
Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to self pace learning including book, web-base and classroom participation
High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred
Previous textile experience
Certification in Training the Trainer and the desire to be a trainer
