ASSEMBLY OPERATOR I

The Assembly Operator I will support the safe operation of high-speed automated assembly machines, following production drawings and instructions to build products and perform various assembly tasks.

Responsibilities

Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
Follow detailed blueprints, schematics instructions, processes, and procedures to build our product
Ability to perform and demonstrate all manufacturing procedures after training
Accurate complete all essential documents (i.e. Lot History Records(LHR's), Inspection Records and Validation Documentation)
Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device
Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as pad printing, adhesive bonding, light soldering, welding and perform leak testing
Adjusts and trims materials from components to achieve specified dimensional characteristics
Performs online go-not-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards. Packages finished assemblies or subassemblies
Ability to inspect work-in-process to documented quality standards to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards
Ability to train others on basic operations

Required

High School Diploma or GED
Must be eligible to work under ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance
1 year manufacturing experience required
Working knowledge of hand tools
Ability to read blueprints and detailed drawings
Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English
Good written and oral communication skills
A safe quality conscious attitude working in a team environment
Attention to detail is imperative
Familiarity with ISO 9001

Preferred

Understanding of military specifications, a plus
SAP experience is preferred but not required
