Responsibilities
Bridge the gap between high-level HCD strategy and tactical execution, ensuring clear line-of-sight from business objectives to delivery across all design verticals
Serve as the primary connector between HCD and their partners (i.e. product management, engineering, business partners, etc.) specifically managing dependencies for Product Design, Research, and the Design Language System
Manage intake and allocation models for shared services while balancing dedicated support for design squads
Audit and refine "way of working" protocols, supporting repeatable frameworks for design reviews, research ops, and QA handoffs in a regulated healthcare environment
Facilitate rituals that connect the disparate disciplines (Research, Product Design, Design Language System, and Digital Accessibility), fostering a unified design culture and knowledge sharing
Qualification
Required
5+ years' experience in Design Program Management, Design Ops, or Program Management roles within complex enterprise environments
Proven ability to manage portfolios that span both discovery and delivery
Experience establishing governance models for Design Teams with multiple capabilities (e.g. Research, Product Design, Design Language System, and Digital Accessibility) at scale
Comfortable navigating the constraints of healthcare product development, ensuring design processes align with regulatory and compliance requirements
Deep understanding of Human-Centered Design (HCD) lifecycles and how to integrate them with Agile development rhythms
Familiarity with AI tools
Proficiency in managing workflows via tools like Microsoft ADO, Microsoft Planner, or FigJam
Familiarity with design stacks (Figma, Dscout) to streamline handoffs
