Event Technician
TeamPeople is dedicated to providing superior customer service and is seeking a multi-skilled Event Technician for live event production services. The role involves working with a team to deliver end-to-end live event production, requiring strong technical skills and experience in various production systems.
Responsibilities
Provides top-class customer service skills, being able to explain our services to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Responsible, along with other Technicians and Specialists, for the successful planning, staffing, and delivery of event requests, held within the client’s fully equipped event center
Work closely alongside external AV vendors and freelancers, ensuring the needs of the internal stakeholder are fully communicated and met
Able to operate, configure, and troubleshoot a range of integrated systems including Ross TD2S console, PTZ Cameras and controllers, GrandMA Lighting console, Yamaha DM7 console, and Analog Way
Able to operate other event audio-visual systems as required
Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment when and where necessary
Assists in maintaining audio visual equipment as required
Escalates equipment failures to appropriate in-house teams and assists with the resolution as needed to maintain service levels
Ensures SOPs are developed and followed, and that contingency planning is included in event support
Is involved in special projects or assignments as allocated and executes them within the given timeline
Contributes to R&D efforts, identifying ways in which we can improve quality of output, efficiency through automation/tooling and process improvements
Is responsible for managing technical risks throughout pre-production planning, execution and post event
Able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of running a full scale event
Setting the gold standard for delivering high-quality service to our clients
Adheres to broadcast standards for remote and recorded attendees
Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
Develop and support relationships within both the client and wider Team People team
Performs other ad hoc duties as required by the business
Qualification
Required
Highly proficient with Ross TD2S console, PTZ Cameras and controllers, GrandMA Lighting console, Yamaha DM7 console, and Analog Way
Experience working in a live event and broadcast environment
An appetite for discovering new technologies and how they can be implemented to enhance the attendee experience
Able to communicate effectively and professionally
Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional team
Self starter that can demonstrate being open to learning
Understanding and experience of various event formats
A strong sense of urgency, excellent problem-solving abilities while under the pressure of a live event environment
Minimum 5-10 years of professional technical live event experience
Preferred
Certifications such as DES, CTS, PMP, or similar are encouraged but not required
Bachelor's degree in media production, Broadcast Engineering, or a related field is preferred
