Automation Engineer
Process Alliance is a company dedicated to providing engineering solutions, and they are seeking an Automation Engineer to support the design, development, and commissioning of automated manufacturing equipment. The role involves designing automation systems, programming PLCs and vision systems, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Design and develop automation systems for manufacturing equipment
Program and troubleshoot PLCs, Vision Systems, HMIs and other control systems
Conduct system testing, validation, and commissioning of automated equipment including FATs, SATs, & process validations
Develop and maintain technical documentation including design specs, software & hardware specs, and user manuals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience in automation and controls engineering within a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in PLC programming and HMI development (e.g. Rockwell Studio 5000)
Experience with robotics (e.g. Fanuc or Staubli) and vision systems (e.g. Keyence or Cognex)
Experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks
Experience with Computer System Validation (CSV)
Strong understanding of electrical and control systems, including sensors, actuators, and communication protocols
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and IoT technologies
