Responsibilities
Build and support event-driven backend services in AWS
Own production Lambda services handling high-volume workloads
Design pipelines using Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues using CloudWatch
Improve reliability, performance, and cloud cost efficiency
Partner with data/ML teams to prepare data for AI workflows
Qualification
Required
5+ years of software engineering experience
2+ years hands-on AWS serverless experience in production
Strong Python backend experience
Proven work with Lambda, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, and CloudWatch
Experience supporting high-scale systems (millions+ events or documents)
Comfortable owning systems end-to-end: building, operating, and fixing them
Preferred
Experience with large document or data pipelines
Exposure to ML or AI data preparation
Strong judgment around cost vs performance tradeoffs
