5+ years expFindTalent is seeking an experienced Construction Manager – BESS to oversee field operations for large-scale Battery Energy Storage System construction projects. The Construction Manager will direct on-site teams, coordinate subcontractors, manage project execution from mobilization through commissioning, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project expectations.

Responsibilities
Lead daily field operations across all phases of BESS construction, ensuring safe and productive site activities
Manage, schedule, and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and equipment
Support workforce scaling by identifying and onboarding additional qualified personnel as project staffing grows
Enforce compliance with safety standards, environmental guidelines, and quality requirements
Review and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and project schedules
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align field execution with project milestones
Track progress against deadlines and budgets, adjusting plans as necessary to maintain schedule integrity
Address on-site challenges proactively and provide effective solutions to ensure project continuity
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement among all site personnel
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in utility-scale construction, renewable energy, or battery energy storage projects
Demonstrated ability to lead large field teams and manage complex construction activities
Working knowledge of electrical systems, civil construction methods, and energy storage technologies
Ability to read and interpret detailed construction plans and schedules
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
Willingness to work in field-based environments and travel as required
Preferred
Existing relationships with skilled crews or subcontractors (strongly preferred)
Experience managing rapid team expansion in high-growth project settings
Field-first leadership style with the ability to balance hands-on oversight and strategic planning
OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
