Director, Business Development (sector)

They are seeking a results-oriented Director of Business Development to enter new Federal market areas and bring new clients to the company, requiring established relationships within the Federal sector and a strong understanding of cybersecurity.

Responsibilities
End-to-end Business Development activities to identify, pursue, and close new business deals
Hunter mentality; generate and capture business opportunities with the ultimate requirement to grow revenue by closing deals. Grow a deep understanding of the existing and prospective client base; know their current and planned programmatic and technical roadmap. Plan, initiate, and manage continuous engagements with current clients and prospective customers. Monitor buying cycles for opportunities
Communicate our value when representing Entrokey Labs to a broad audience: clients, partners, competitors, and the interested public, conveying our approach to building next-generation cybersecurity protection and our competitive edge in doing so
Partner with technical team and product engineers to identify opportunities for business growth with clients
Support proposals, including authoring material for and reviewing RFI, RFP, SBIR, OTA, and other requests, with emphasis on applicable defense and commercial markets and industries
Inform product development with feedback from current or prospective clients. Must be able to translate client challenges into an actionable internal understanding for the product roadmap
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree, with preference for technical field (engineering or applied science) but may substitute military or civilian experience
Minimum of 10 years relevant professional experience in national security/Federal government space
US citizen
Current U.S. Secret security clearance; Top Secret preferred
Proven business development and growth professional who has validated experience building, executing, and winning business capture strategies with an emphasis on national defense in a defined sector/arena (e.g. Army; Intelligence Community, or Federal civilian agencies) and their related providers in industry
Bring and leverage strong network in the target community
Demonstrated knowledge in defense acquisition processes
Experience in the technical, programmatic, and operational challenges of manned and unmanned systems and platforms
Demonstrated high-energy, high-ownership leader who will drive performance and exhibit strong management skills with strong level of emotional intelligence
Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial environment; demonstrated effective market expansion and penetration strategies
Excellent writing, communication skills with experience briefing senior executives and customers
Demonstrated knowledge of sector-relevant national security programs, platforms, and payloads
Excellent oral and written communication skills to develop external/internal papers and presentations
MS Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Willingness to travel 30%, mainly domestic with limited OCONUS
Preferred
Knowledge of autonomous vehicles as applicable to sector highly desired
Knowledge of cryptographic enterprise helpful
Winning $15M+ opportunities with US federal organizations
Expertise in defense and commercial industries or complex engineering systems
Knowledge and experience with government acquisition and contract structures
