Responsibilities
Design new and rehabilitate existing bridges using AASHTO LRFD standards
Manage multiple transportation structural projects, budgets, and schedules
Prepare contract bid documents and oversee construction phase services
Lead and mentor design engineers and drafting staff
Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, and the Maryland Department of Transportation
Ensure compliance with structural design principles for steel, reinforced concrete, and prestressed concrete
Qualification
Required
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Maryland
10–15 years of structural design experience, specifically bridges
Proficient in AASHTO LRFD bridge design and MDOT project requirements
Strong project management and client communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
Preferred
3+ years leading design engineers or drafting teams
MS in Civil Engineering
