Responsibilities

Accountable for the cost, schedule and technical performance of the portfolio
Plan the execution of the program and its activities in accordance with contractual requirements and company processes, policies, and systems. Develop metrics and monitor them to assess the strengths of the program and identify areas for improvement
In conjunction with the functional leadership (Engineering, Operations, and Quality etc.), ensure that the program is adequately resourced with well-qualified staff
Supervise program staff and provide direction, input and appropriate feedback
Effectively communicate with customers and other stakeholders. Establish open communication to ensure effective and efficient program execution
Prepare reports/briefings on the program for executive management. Ensure that the program operates within approved budgets and that any issues are surfaced in a timely manner. Identify and manage risks and opportunities associated with business unit programs. Monitor the program and conduct periodic evaluations to identify opportunities for improvement
Lead program review sessions with customers and act as a primary interface to executive management for the execution of program requirements
25% business travel required to customer sites and suppliers to support program objectives
Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Security Clearance

Required

Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related Program Management experience
Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related Program Management experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related Program Management experience
Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Security Clearance

Preferred

A strong background in program financial management, and integrated master planning/scheduling
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to present at all levels within the company as well as with external customers
Ability to develop consensus and drive the organization to achieve program goals
Demonstrated highly effective organization, team orientation and leadership skills
Proven ability to recruit, train and motivate employees and build best in class teams
