Responsibilities
Serve as the subject matter expert on paperboard packaging: substrate selection, caliper performance, stiffness, coatings, printability, and barrier properties
Provide on-site support during packaging trials, drop tests, Form Fill & Seal line startups, and troubleshooting
Interpret lab and field data to optimize packaging designs for both shelf-stable and freezer-grade applications
Partner with customer R&D, procurement, and operations teams to integrate Foopak solutions into high-speed converting lines
Translate technical insights into compelling value propositions for sustainability, efficiency, and performance
Support RFQs/RFPs with accurate, technically sound recommendations
Manage a portfolio of accounts, driving growth in foodservice, CPG, and converting markets
Lead technical discussions in sales meetings and customer audits
Build long-term, trust-based relationships by delivering solutions-oriented technical and commercial support
Act as a liaison between customers and APP/Charta Global’s product development, quality, and manufacturing teams
Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and innovations in sustainable packaging
Provide feedback to internal teams to shape next-generation product development
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Packaging Science, Paper Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field
3–5+ years of technical packaging, converting, or technical sales experience
Strong understanding of drop down rates, Form Fill & Seal converting, and other packaging line efficiencies
Hands-on knowledge of folding, die-cutting, gluing, and printing processes (offset, flexo, digital)
Ability to troubleshoot technical challenges and present solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Willingness to travel up to 50% for trials, audits, and customer engagements
