Responsibilities
Lead a team building the core of their real-time communication infrastructure
Guiding engineers who are designing low-latency, scalable backend systems and distributed architectures
Setting technical direction while still engaging in architectural and code-level decisions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field such as Computer Science or Engineering
10+ years of backend engineering experience, including 6+ years working with Elixir or other distributed system languages
Proven experience leading or managing engineering teams in high-scale, high-availability environments
Deep understanding of OTP principles, Phoenix, LiveView, GenServers, and event-driven systems
Experience designing and deploying cloud-native infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure
Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, and distributed messaging frameworks
Background in CI/CD, Kubernetes, Terraform, and DevOps automation
Familiarity or active interest in AI/ML systems, LLMs, or agent-based frameworks
