Senior LevelPowerTek Global General Contracting Company is seeking a Florida-licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) with strong experience in distribution and sub-transmission systems planning and technical assessment. The role involves conducting technical studies, load and reliability analysis, and planning for renewable integration and energy storage solutions.
Logistics & Supply Chain
Responsibilities
Perform technical assessments of distribution and sub-transmission networks , including asset condition, upgrade needs, and system limitations
Evaluate interconnections and provide technical diligence inputs for system expansion or reinforcement
Support condition assessment and upgrade prioritization for existing infrastructure
Contribute engineering judgment to feasibility and planning-level studies
Develop and review load profiles and reliability baselines
Conduct scenario-based demand growth analysis , including electrification impacts (EVs, heat pumps, distributed resources)
Provide technical planning inputs to support long-term system resilience and capacity planning
Support concept-level sizing and technical framing for:
Renewable energy systems
Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
Microgrids and critical-load resilience solutions
Provide engineering input on resilience strategies , system flexibility, and reliability enhancement
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on integrated energy system concepts
Qualification
Required
Active Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license – mandatory
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field
Strong experience in distribution and sub-transmission power systems
Proven background in load analysis, reliability studies, and planning assessments
Familiarity with renewables, BESS, and microgrid concepts at planning or conceptual design level
Experience with utility standards, planning criteria, and regulatory environments (U.S.)
Ability to provide clear technical inputs and professional engineering judgment
Preferred
Experience working with utilities, municipalities, or energy consultants
Knowledge of electrification trends and grid modernization
Exposure to resilience planning and critical infrastructure projects
Strong technical writing and documentation skills
