Responsibilities
Work closely with business stakeholders to gather business requirements, ensuring key objectives are identified
Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to identify, support, and create scalable solutions, including complex data models and statistical calculations
Simplify complex information to effectively present content across various levels of the business
Build Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements & collaborate to develop and deliver training and consultations on how to use data and insights to drive decisions
Investigate reporting issues from supported business unit and provide technical expertise to resolve and follow-up in a timely manner
Work efficiently with large data sets from complex processes to derive insights creating custom Structured Query Language (SQL) for data queries where needed
Perform Quality Assurance (QA) activities to ensure the data integrity of new/existing reporting
Lead the prioritization of projects/tasks to ensure proper tracking and delivery of requests
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or other applicable engineering/technical field
2 years of work experience related to business intelligence, analytics, data engineering, information services, or related experience
Experience with business intelligence and analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI)
Experience with data transformation and cleansing
Experience acquiring and preparing data from multiple ERP systems, such as AS400, Oracle, SAP, and JDE
Proven thought-leadership in interpreting and communicating analytical content
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Ability to effectively present and influence leadership and large groups of people
Ability to manage priorities and workflow in a rapidly changing environment
Strong analytical/quantitative skills required
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Analytical problem solving. Can go beyond just fixing to identify root causes, evaluate optimal solutions, and recommend comprehensive upgrades to prevent future issues
Strategic thinking. Can analyze data or trends for the purposes of planning, forecasting, advising, budgeting, reporting, or sales opportunities
