Specialty Program Manager

The Specialty Program Manager is responsible for creating a superior customer experience for manufacturer and payer partners in specialty pharmacy, overseeing assigned programs, and ensuring quality execution and performance communication.

Responsibilities
Lead engagements with our manufacturer and payer partners
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of specialty pharmacy’s capabilities to develop and maintain meaningful relationships with all stakeholders
Maintain oversight of programs’ performance
Ensure comprehensive and proactive program communication channels are established
Collaborate with specialty pharmacy teams to implement and monitor performance for custom workflow and contract requirements
Develop and implement strategies and solutions to optimize program performance and client satisfaction
Ensure tools and resources are available to evaluate program data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Prepares and presents comprehensive reports and recommendations to our partners and leadership
Establishes and ensures KPIs are monitored, and corrective action taken to prevent subpar program performance and escalations
Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including pharmacy operations, clinical, IT/Analytics, and finance, to achieve program goals and objectives
Stays informed of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to specialty pharmacy, and proactively incorporates this knowledge into program development and management
Represents the organization at conferences, meetings, and other events to promote our specialty pharmacy programs and cultivate relationships with key partners and stakeholders
Responsible for development, implementation, and quality assessment of new pharmacy policies and procedures related to programs in collaboration with the senior pharmacy leadership
Assists in planning, monitoring and/or managing budget in functional area of department
Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department
Comply with Maxor’s Ethical Business Conduct policy and Maxor’s Compliance Program
Remain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists
Complete required training, as assigned, within the established timeframes
Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
Maintain regular attendance in accordance with established policies
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree; high school diploma and equivalent work experience may be considered
3 years related work experience required in specialty pharmacy program management, or similar work experience
Demonstrated comprehensive in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical care, pharmacy systems, patient workflows, pharmacy operations regulations and industry best practices
Exceptional organizational, leadership and communication skills in establishing and maintaining excellent client relationships
Ability to make decisions with significant, broad implications for leadership and operations; Participates in decisions on overall strategy and direction of the organization
Ability to address problems that are broad, complex and abstract, often requiring creativity, resourcefulness, and staff engagement to develop solutions
Ability to set direction and vision for major departments or multiple departments. Establishes priorities, develops policies and allocates resources
Ability to communicate complex information in English effectively in writing to all levels of staff, management and external customers across functional areas
Ability to verbally communicate complex concepts in English and address sensitive situations, resolve conflicts, motivate and persuade others
Ability to lead collaborative teams for larger projects or groups both internal and external to the Specialty Pharmacy and across functional areas. Results have implications for the management and operations of multiple areas of the organization
Ability to lead operational initiatives to meet or exceed client/customer service standards and expectations in a timely and respectful manner
