Inside Sales Representative
Thorp Controls is a third-generation, family-owned business that specializes in providing automation products and services. The Inside Sales Representative will manage customer relationships, support business development, and ensure a seamless customer experience throughout the sales process.

Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for customers via phone, email, and internal systems
Analyze customer requirements and recommend appropriate products or solutions
Create, process, and follow up on customer quotations in coordination with Outside Sales and Vendors
Enter and manage sales orders accurately and efficiently
Track and communicate order status, lead times, and delivery updates to customers
Utilize Thorp CRM and ERP systems to document customer interactions, opportunities, and activities
Support Outside Sales by prospecting for new clients, preparing quotes, coordinating pricing, and assisting with account management
Develop strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams
Maintain product and vendor knowledge to effectively support customer needs
Strive to exceed customer expectations through responsiveness, accuracy, and professionalism
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Results-driven with a customer-first mindset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team
Technology-proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and CRM/ERP systems
Preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree, trade school, or technical education is preferred
2+ years of Inside Sales, customer service, or industrial distribution experience preferred
Experience in the automation, electrical, or industrial supply industry is a plus
