Start in 2026 SummerKapor Capital is an early-stage venture capital firm based in Oakland, CA, investing primarily in pre-seed and seed-stage technology companies. The Operations Intern will support the Head of Platform and Director of Finance, gaining hands-on experience in portfolio services, firm operations, and finance functions.

Responsibilities
Assist in coordinating and executing firm and founder events, including logistics, communications, and post-event follow-up
Conduct research on potential strategic partners and advisors aligned with portfolio needs
Contribute to the development of operational playbooks and resource guides for portfolio founders
Assist with portfolio data collection, verification, and entry into tracking systems
Support maintenance of internal databases ensuring data accuracy and consistency
Assist with financial reconciliation tasks and document management
Support ad-hoc finance and operations projects as they arise
Contribute to one substantive summer project (to be defined based on interests and firm priorities) that could include: talent ecosystem mapping, diversity metrics analysis, sponsorship strategy research, or process automation initiatives
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (rising junior or senior student preferred)
Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and comfort learning new software tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently and take initiative
Genuine interest in venture capital, startups, and social impact
