The internship provides college students with hands-on experience by shadowing leaders and engaging in daily operations to prepare them for a career in hospitality.

Responsibilities
Shadow identified leaders within the department at the hotel
Shadow each shift and each position within the Outlet you are assigned to at the hotel
Consistently attend department meetings as well as any leadership meetings at the hotel
Become proficient with operating the PMS and all other systems used by the Food & Beverage team
Utilize labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs
Interact positively with customers and take action to resolve problems to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality
Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and Policies
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
Perform any other job related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers and patrons
Ability to use point of service computer
Ability to stand for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public, etc
Preferred
Recent or current graduate of a hospitality program preferred
