Responsibilities
Designing and planning network systems
Providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture
Providing specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements
Conducting testing of network systems
Maintaining technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc
Evaluating and reporting on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network
Qualification
Required
5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience
Must have a current Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification - https://public.cyber.mil/wid/cwmp/dod-approved-8570-baseline-certifications/
Must have had an active Top Secret clearance within the last 24 months
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD TS/SCI and relevant SAP/SAR Clearance
Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule to support customer requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or in a related field
Previous DoD simulation Networking experience
RMF knowledge of DISA process
Previous experience with JSE and/or Modeling and Simulation network systems
Strong Network Engineering background
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft domain controllers, Virtual Machines (VM), VMWARE, ACAS scanning, STIG compliance and layer 2 and 3 network devices (switches and routers)
