Field Service Engineer - TMS Therapy Systems

They are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to provide expert-level diagnostics, maintenance, and support for TMS Therapy Systems, serving as a bridge between the engineering team and U.S.-based customers.

Responsibilities

Become the primary expert on the Stimulator (the core component of the TMS system), performing deep-dive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and component replacement
Travel to customer locations to perform Electrical Safety Tests (EST), preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs
Work closely with the Engineering Team at our German headquarters to resolve complex issues and provide feedback on device performance
Provide high-level technical assistance via phone and in person, acting as the face of Neurocare’s technical expertise
Maintain meticulous records of service cases, including steps taken, serial numbers, parts replaced, and compliance documentation
While customer interactions occur during normal business hours (M-F), flexibility is required for travel outside these hours to accommodate flight schedules and emergency service needs

Required

Strong experience with high-voltage electronics and diagnostic tools
Ability to interact professionally with clinical staff and customers at an expert support level
Willingness to travel (approx. 33%), primarily within the U.S., with the ability to travel to Germany annually for advanced training
A disciplined approach to logging and documenting technical service records
Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Technology
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing high-voltage power electronics, power supplies, or large capacitor banks
Proficiency with advanced diagnostic tools, including Digital Multimeters and Oscilloscopes, to analyze signal patterns and pulse shapes
Working knowledge of Electrical Safety Testing (EST) and international safety standards such as IEC 60601-1
Expert-level understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and the safe discharge of stored electrical energy
Experience working within a Quality Management System (QMS) and familiarity with ISO 13485 or FDA 21 CFR Part 820 documentation requirements
Ability to translate complex technical issues into clear updates for clinical staff and healthcare providers

Preferred

Prior experience with medical devices or complex electronic systems
An Associate's degree with 5+ years of relevant field experience is also highly valued
Candidates with military technical training (e.g., Navy ET/AT, Air Force Avionics, or Radar Tech) are strongly encouraged to apply due to their rigorous safety and electronics training
