Customer Success Engineer (CAD/PDM/PLM)
Bild is modernizing how hardware teams collaborate with a cloud-native data management platform. They are seeking a Customer Success Engineer to work directly with customers, ensuring their success through onboarding, troubleshooting, and optimizing workflows.

Responsibilities
Lead technical onboarding for new customers
Help teams migrate workflows from legacy PDM/PLM systems into Bild
Understand their CAD environment (SolidWorks, Creo, NX, Altium, etc.) and tailor best practices
Troubleshoot complex customer issues involving CAD files, metadata, integrations, and workflows
Reproduce issues, analyze logs, and work closely with engineering to resolve root causes
Translate technical problems into clear explanations customers understand
Learn how engineers actually use CAD and PDM systems in the real world
Advise customers on how to structure projects, part numbers, BOMs, and design data inside Bild
Recommend workflow improvements that make teams more efficient
Assist customers with integrations to ERP/PLM tools
Help configure metadata, permissions, and automation rules
Run training sessions and walkthroughs with engineering teams
Be the friendly, technical face of Bild customers trust
Turn recurring issues into help docs, playbooks, and best practices
Identify patterns in customer issues and communicate them clearly to the product and engineering teams
Help shape the roadmap based on real-world customer usage
Qualification
Required
Strong debugging instincts - you enjoy figuring out why things break
Background in: Technical support, solutions engineering, or customer success in SaaS OR Mechanical engineering, CAD administration, or PDM/PLM environments
Ability to quickly understand CAD workflows even if you haven't worked directly in them before
Excellent communication skills - able to explain technical concepts clearly to engineers
Comfort being on calls with customers daily
Highly organized and process-oriented
Self-starter mindset - you like ownership and autonomy
Curiosity about how hardware teams work
Preferred
Experience with SolidWorks, Creo, NX, Altium, or similar tools
Experience with PDM/PLM systems
Experience at an early-stage startup
