Warehouse Procurement Manager, AWS Cloud Logistics
Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Procurement Manager for AWS Infrastructure Services, responsible for leading sourcing, procurement, and contract operations for global logistics and warehousing services. Responsibilities
Lead sourcing, procurement, and contract operations for global contract logistics and warehousing services
Establish annual financial plans and create operating rhythms to measure execution vs established targets
Build and manage operating rhythms to simplify and automate business processes to ensure compliance with agreed terms and reduce procurement lead times
Draft contractual requirements in cooperation with business partners which encourage continued customer focus deliver reduced service costs
Manage supplier relationships including contractual negotiations, service performance, capability development
Dive deep to uncover areas of opportunity, present written business recommendations, and lead global projects which deliver reduced service costs
Recommend, develop, and implement policies that guide the organization in accurately estimating service cost and delivering annual profit and loss (P&L)
Develop new business relationships and competencies
Partner with supply and operations teams to develop capacity models, guide network strategy, and inform capital investment decisions
Own Controllership activities including invoice auditing to identify discrepancies
Partner with business partners to draft, maintain, and standardize contractual requirements
Design exception-based reporting highlighting and analyzing outliers
Lead weekly discussions reporting on financial performance to plan and areas of improvement
Manage and support finance and accounting activities globally with multiple currencies
Qualification
Required
6+ years of program, project or product management, or leading product implementation experience
6+ years of related industry experience
8+ years of data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent experience
Experience in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments
Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies
Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company
Experience in program, project or product management, or leading product implementation
Preferred
Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies
Experience in negotiations with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction
Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain and Tier 1 OEM partners
Experience practicing best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, or equivalent)
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience
