Responsibilities
Assist in developing and implementing employee health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Support accident investigations, prepare written analysis, and monitor corrective actions
Maintain OSHA 300/300A logs, safety documentation, and regulatory reporting records
Participate in workplace inspections, audits, ergonomic evaluations, and hazard assessments
Support workers' compensation processes, including claims coordination and modified duty evaluation
Assist with safety policy reviews, regulatory updates, and the rollout of safety training programs
Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including drills, EOC readiness, and response plans
Administer FMCSA/DOT compliance functions, including drug/alcohol testing and DMV pull-notice reviews
Maintain safety-related records, training logs, and program documentation
Provide support for safety committee meetings, policy changes, and interdepartment collaboration
Perform related administrative, technical, and field safety duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, environmental science, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience supporting health & safety programs, risk management, or regulatory compliance
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to analyze data and prepare clear reports
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations
Proficiency with standard business software and safety‑related databases
Preferred
Experience with Cal/OSHA, workers' compensation processes, and safety auditing
