Sourcing Specialist
Per Sé Group is seeking a Principal Sourcing Specialist to join their Operational Procurement team. This hands-on role focuses on processing and issuing Purchase Orders while collaborating with internal partners and suppliers to fulfill procurement needs efficiently.
Responsibilities
Process high volumes of purchase requisitions into Purchase Orders (POs) for materials and services
Identify appropriate sources of supply using existing strategic agreements or qualified suppliers
Conduct Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and perform competitive pricing analysis
Issue, manage, and maintain Purchase Orders and Blanket Agreements
Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery confirmations, performance, and invoice issues
Collaborate with business unit requisitioners to ensure accurate understanding of purchasing needs
Coordinate with Strategic Sourcing to align with existing agreements and identify bid opportunities when needed
Support outage planning and project-based procurement activities for power generation facilities
Track and report procurement savings, supplier performance, and key metrics
Update pricing and terms on outline and blanket agreements to ensure accuracy and compliance
Ensure adherence to all operational procurement policies and procedures
Provide coaching and mentoring to junior procurement specialists
Lead or support operational procurement process improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
5–7 years of sourcing or procurement experience, with a strong focus on Purchase Order processing
Prior supply management experience in power generation or industrial environments
1+ year of SAP experience
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel and Power BI
Strong negotiation and supplier communication skills
Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage workload independently
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field
Experience supporting procurement for Generation, Retail, or Corporate business units
Institute for Supply Management (ISM) certification (CPSM or similar)
