Responsibilities
Develop and maintain bare-metal embedded firmware in C/C++ for ARM multicore SoCs using concurrent programming
Develop Linux user space or kernel drivers for NVMe over PCIe, including PCIe resets during live IO traffic
Work on custom evaluation systems with pre-silicon emulation (FPGA, Zebu) and post-silicon platforms
Understand the storage I/O stack from host to device across hardware and software
Conduct experiments and data collection, creating professional reports of results
Collaborate with design teams to produce application notes, reference firmware, software libraries, and other technical documents for new/existing SoC features
Troubleshoot technical and customer issues and provide support to field engineering teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Software, Computer or Electrical Engineering, and at least 5-10 years professional experience and/or Master's degree in Software, Computer or Electrical Engineering, and at least 3-5 years professional experience
Demonstrated expertise in NVMe over PCIe interfaces
Experience working with MCTP/MI via PCIe VDM or SMBus
Experience in Firmware Development under Bare Metal/Linux Environment and Debugging on SoCs for embedded Applications
Strong understanding of validation concepts and SoC architecture
Proficient in C/C++, assembly, 64 bit ARM CPU architecture
Proficient in utilizing hardware tools, including protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
Comprehensive understanding of protocol specification, such as NVMe, PCIe, or CXL
Knowledgeable in low-speed I/O interfaces, such as I2C, I3C, SMBus and SPI
