This role involves leading bridge design and project delivery across the Southeast, managing DOT and municipal bridge projects while mentoring a team of engineers.

Responsibilities
Lead bridge design projects from concept through construction, including steel, concrete, and prestressed concrete structures
Oversee multidisciplinary bridge design teams, ensuring compliance with AASHTO LRFD, DOT, and local standards
Review and approve structural calculations, plans, and specifications
Serve as the primary client liaison for bridge project delivery and technical performance
Mentor and develop junior bridge engineers and project managers
Support proposal development and technical leadership to grow the business
Manage budgets, schedules, and delivery of multiple complex bridge projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license in South Carolina
10–15 years of bridge engineering experience, including leadership of DOT or municipal bridge projects
Deep experience in steel, concrete, and prestressed concrete bridge design, inspection, and load rating
Strong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation, and bridge evaluation processes
Proficiency in design and analysis software: AASHTOWare (BrR/D), Midas Civil, STAAD, LEAP Concrete & Steel, Microstation, OpenBridge, AutoCAD, Civil 3D
Proven ability to manage technical teams, budgets, and schedules
Preferred
NBIS certification and experience with state DOT bridge standards
