The Underwriting Assistant will support the Underwriting unit by assisting with the underwriting process for global casualty programs, collaborating with Operations and Underwriting teams to meet various business goals.

Responsibilities
Handle clearance of submissions and file setup
Identify forms and endorsements used in policy construction
Complete manual ratings for workers' compensation, general liability, auto liability, and auto physical damage
Prepare employee concentration analysis and review the results with the Underwriter
Issue new policies and handle post-bind corrections or changes
Manage general correspondence related to underwriting activities
Review expiring policy information and prepare renewal accounts
Maintain service standards as set by the company
Communicate with internal and external customers for policy issuance and servicing
Prepare renewal quotations, binders, and policies at the direction of the Underwriter
Conduct account inquiries in various management systems
Handle special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Basic understanding of insurance terminology
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work autonomously
Strong organization and prioritization skills
Good attention to detail
Flexible and adaptable to change
Strong data entry and computer skills
